Nikita Evglevskii

Stick is one of the smallest wall vases in the collection. Its scale invites restraint, a single flower is enough. Once placed on the wall, it becomes a small point of attention, allowing the stem to extend naturally into the surrounding space.

The piece is finished using the Raku firing process, where oxidation and reduction unfold in succession. After reaching its firing temperature, the glowing ceramic is removed from the kiln and placed into a sealed container filled with combustible material. As oxygen disappears, reduction transforms both the glaze and the clay, producing surfaces that remain unique to each firing.
