Sandstorm is the table vase emerged from a single large piece of clay in only a few movements. The spiral twisting through its body preserves the force that shaped it, as though the gesture remained visible after the hands had already withdrawn.
Functional as a vase, it nevertheless leans toward sculpture. The flowers simply continue the movement already present in the clay.

This piece is unglazed, allowing the texture of the clay to stay exposed. It was finished in a pit firing, where flame, smoke, ash, and organic materials leave unpredictable marks permanently embedded in the surface. The interior is sealed with beeswax, making the vase suitable for water in most cases. I recommend using only a small amount and replacing it regularly.
