Ivory is a wall-mounted cylindrical vase with a torn rim that softens the clean shape. Metallic dots and splashes cover the warm ivory surface; the exposed base has been turned charcoal by fire.

The piece is finished using the Raku firing process, where oxidation and reduction unfold in succession. After reaching its firing temperature, the glowing ceramic is removed from the kiln and placed into a sealed container filled with combustible material. As oxygen disappears, reduction transforms both the glaze and the clay, producing surfaces that remain unique to each firing.
