Green is a wide matcha bowl with a generous, weighty form that rests comfortably in the hands. The thickness of the clay distributes the warmth of the tea evenly, encouraging a slower rhythm of drinking and a longer awareness of the vessel itself.

The piece is finished using the Raku firing process, where oxidation and reduction unfold in succession. After reaching its firing temperature, the glowing ceramic is removed from the kiln and placed into a sealed container filled with combustible material. As oxygen disappears, reduction transforms both the glaze and the clay, producing surfaces that remain unique to each firing.
