Vases
Camouflage is a tabletop vase intended for a minimal floral arrangement. Formed from a single piece of clay using a twisting technique, its body remains grounded and still, holding the tension of the gesture that created it.
The piece is finished using the Raku firing process, where oxidation and reduction unfold in succession. After reaching its firing temperature, the glowing ceramic is removed from the kiln and placed into a sealed container filled with combustible material. As oxygen disappears, reduction transforms both the glaze and the clay, producing surfaces that remain unique to each firing.
